Scenic Wonders, Australia
Australia has some of the oldest land surfaces on earth. This country abounds with scenic wonders that are breathtakingly beautiful and awe-inspiring in their magnificence;
Wildlife Watching, Australia
Australia's east-coast rain forests have vines, strangler figs, giant tree ferns of the tropical northern rainforests. These creatures range from rare insects and colourful parrots and large butterflies to tree-dwelling kangaroos. Tree-dwelling kangaroos are rare to find, but they are in the Daintree Rain Forest of Nth Qld.
Outback Australia
Far from being barren wastelands, our extensive arid and semi-arid lands also team with life. These include drought-adapted mallee and mulga trees and ephemeral wildflowers that are fantastic after heavy rains. Large colonies of termites build very high chambers; frogs stay for long periods underground, and, of course, wide ranging kangaroos and emus.
Coastal Australia
Along our Australian coasts, numerous designated viewing spots allow visitors and locals to see such wonderful sights as humpback and southern right whales migrating and green turtles hatching. Further offshore, travellers can explore our unrivalled coral reefs and view the multitude of multi-coloured inhabitants.
Aboriginal Australia
Today, Aboriginal people with traditional links to important archaeological and historical sites are actively involved in their management. Many act as tour guides. You may need a permit to visit some Aboriginal sites or lands. So for accurate details, contact the Information centres in that area.
