Barges, or ferries as some people refer to the vehicular barges that transport 4wd vehicles, small boat trailers and passengers to Fraser Island, randomly travel back and forth between Inskip Point (Rainbow Beach) and Fraser Island as required. No booking is needed from Rainbow Beach and it is only a 10-15minute trip. Keep an eye open for the dolphins swimming alongside.
